Proper placarding is one of the most critical aspects of HazMat transportation. This course teaches
employees how to correctly select and apply DOT placards based on the hazardous materials being
transported, quantity thresholds, and transport configuration (vehicle, bulk, non-bulk, mixed loads).
The course meets the awareness portion of 49 CFR 172.704 and specifically focuses on
the placarding rules found in Subpart F – Placarding.
